Our event in support of Armenia's environmentalists

In one of the Brussels parks Hayasa students organized an event in support of Armenia's environmental movement. The initiative came from our member Ruben Martirosyan, who first presented the history of Armenia's environmental movement. Afterwards the problems of Teghut forest, Mashtots park and Qajaran village were covered as well.

We also took a group photo in support of Teghut forest (you can see the pictures here)

We have also issued an open letter, addressing the environmental problems in Armenia and expressing solidarity with the activists fighting the potential environmental hazards of Teghut forest (Lori region) and the illegally built kiosks in Yerevan’s Mashtots Park. The letter was sent to Armenian media. Here are some links:
